Let's discuss opening a corporate account for your company
OmniTrust AE assists UAE Free Zone and Mainland companies with corporate bank account applications. We assess the shareholder profile, business activity, expected transactions and source of funds before selecting suitable UAE banks. We prepare the KYC file, business description, expected turnover, customer and supplier information and supporting contracts, and coordinate the application with the selected bank.

Which UAE Banks Can Be Considered?
We select from local and international banks operating in the UAE, depending on the client's profile, business activity, currency needs and the bank's current compliance appetite for that activity. Banks we regularly consider depending on the client's profile — we do not represent any bank as a formal partner unless a documented partnership exists.
Corporate Bank Account Requirements
Requirements vary by bank and by business profile — this is a general overview, not a universal checklist. We confirm the exact list for your case once a bank has been shortlisted.
Documents Required
Trade licence, incorporation documents (memorandum, share certificate), passport copies of shareholders and signatories, and a description of the business activity.
Requirements for Free Zone Companies
Free Zone companies can open corporate accounts; some banks apply additional scrutiny to the business activity and expected transaction counterparties.
Requirements for Mainland Companies
Mainland companies generally follow the same core KYC process; an office lease (Ejari) and, in some cases, a physical office visit may support the application.
Requirements for New Companies with No Turnover
A newly registered company with no transaction history can still apply. Banks will typically rely on the declared business activity, the shareholders' personal financial background and the projected turnover rather than past statements.
Source of Funds and Source of Wealth
Banks distinguish between the source of funds (where the specific money being deposited comes from) and source of wealth (how the shareholder built their overall wealth). Evidence can include prior business income, sale proceeds, salary history or investment returns, depending on the case.
Personal Bank Statements
Shareholders and signatories are commonly asked for several months of personal bank statements as part of the KYC review — the exact period requested depends on the bank and the applicant's profile.
Expected Monthly and Annual Turnover
Banks ask for a realistic estimate of expected monthly and annual turnover on the account, consistent with the declared business activity and the company's contracts or business plan.
Clients and Suppliers
A description of the company's typical customers and suppliers — including their countries — helps the bank assess the expected transaction pattern and cross-border exposure.
Contracts, Invoices and Letters of Intent
Signed contracts, sample invoices or letters of intent with counterparties are commonly requested, particularly where the company has no operating history yet.
Office Inspection
Some banks conduct a physical office visit or a video verification call as part of the compliance review — this is bank-specific and not applied uniformly to every application.
Minimum Balance and Deposit Requirements
Minimum balance requirements and any related fees are set by each bank individually and can change over time — we confirm the current terms for a shortlisted bank before an application is submitted. Ask us for the current figures for your shortlisted bank; do not rely on a figure quoted elsewhere without confirming it first.
Resident vs Non-Resident Shareholders
UAE residency is not a strict requirement for every bank, but resident shareholders with an Emirates ID and a UAE address generally have a wider choice of banks and a smoother application process than non-resident shareholders.
How Long Does UAE Corporate Account Opening Take?
Fast-track corporate account cases may start from approximately 5–6 business days; standard cases typically take around 2–4 weeks depending on the bank and compliance review. Final approval and processing time are determined by the bank after its independent KYC and compliance review.
Common Reasons for Bank Rejections
Most often, rejections relate to an insufficiently transparent company structure, an incomplete banking dossier, a mismatch between the declared activity and the bank's risk appetite, or unclear source of funds. A rejected applicant can usually apply to a different bank; we review the reason before resubmitting.
