Dubai Islamic Bank Corporate Account Requirements in UAE
By Alena Makhnovskaya, Co-Founder · Head of Advisory, OmniTrust AE · Reviewed by Sergey Stepanov, Lead Co-Founder · Published 21 September 2026 · Last reviewed 21 September 2026
Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) publishes four business account types, a minimum monthly balance of AED 50,000 for most of them (the e-Trader account has no minimum), and a detailed nine-item document checklist for account opening. DIB's page does not state a minimum company age, an office requirement, or a processing timeline — where information is not published, this guide says so rather than guessing.
Last reviewed: 21 September 2026This article distinguishes three types of information: (1) requirements officially published by DIB, cited with a source link; (2) OmniTrust's general observations from working across UAE banks, clearly labelled as such; and (3) points DIB does not publicly disclose, marked accordingly. OmniTrust AE is an independent advisory firm and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of DIB.
Officially Published Account Types
Per DIB's official Business Accounts page, four packages are offered: DIB e-Trader Business Account, Al Islami Business Account, Business Account Plus, and Business Account Premium.
Officially Published Balance Requirement
DIB states: "A minimum account balance starting from AED 50,000 is to be maintained on a monthly basis." The e-Trader Business Account is the exception and requires no minimum balance, per DIB's own page.
Officially Published Documents Required
DIB's page lists nine document categories:
- Account Opening Document (file)
- Specimen Signature Card
- Trade Licence / Certificate of Incorporation / Commercial Register Certificate or Chamber of Commerce certificate
- ID documents (passport / Emirates ID) for all partners, with UAEICP printouts
- Constitutional documents (business registration / Memorandum of Association / Articles / Power of Attorney)
- W-8BEN-E Form
- Entity Tax Residency Self-Certification Form (FATCA/CRS)
- Key Fact Statement (KFS)
- Bank statement
DIB's own page notes: "Based on the Bank's internal policies and procedures, additional documents may be requested."
Not Officially Confirmed
DIB's page we reviewed does not state a minimum company age, an office/premises requirement, a residency requirement beyond the documents above, or a guaranteed processing timeline. Requirements may vary depending on the client profile and the bank's internal compliance review.
OmniTrust's General Experience (Not DIB-Specific)
Across UAE banks generally — not specific to DIB — OmniTrust AE has observed that fast-track corporate account cases may start from approximately 5–6 business days, while standard cases typically take around 2–4 weeks, depending on the bank and compliance review. This is a general market observation, not a DIB commitment, and OmniTrust cannot guarantee any particular timeline with any bank.
